1. Assorted material, comprising:
- autograph letter (Sommières, August 1973) from Lawrence Durrell to Ghyslaine, signed 'Dracula';
- two autograph postcards from Lawrence Durrell to Ghyslaine;
- autograph note from Lawrence Durrell (with date 'été 1973' added in pencil);
- four small sheets with decorative designs by Durrell (one initialled 'Epfs'), two of which have messages on the verso;
- American greetings card with message in Durrell's hand.
2. Four photographs (A-D), each dated April 1973 and stamped 'Frances Charteris Photography' (London) on the verso:
- (A): portrait of Durrell (glass in hand), black and white print (250 x 200mm);
- (B): portrait of Durrell at book signing (Faber, The Black Book), black and white print (250 x 200mm);
- (C): Durrell seated, in conversation with unidentified male, black and white print (180 x 250mm);
- (D): portrait of Théodore Monod (naturalist, explorer, 1902-2000) in conversation, black and white print (240 x 200mm).
