- card with autograph message from Durrell to Ghyslaine, beginning: 'Avignon is a little town I think you would like';
- brief autograph note (Xanadu, Malibu) from Durrell to Ghyslaine: 'Today we are leaving Xanadu and returning to France. No more Pasadena no more Einstein. Sommières again with all my love';
- Western Union Telefax (1974) from Alan Fabab to Durrell: 'Congratulations on you Ghislaine and your dedication to her';
- printed guidance notes from a Santa Barbara dentist, with the following instruction circled in blue ink: 'Do not take any alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours'.
