Digital images of records created and received by the ANC administration in the Northern Province.
The file primarily consists of reports submitted by Provincial and Branch level organisers, including details of province tours, meetings, and general administrative reports.
The file also contains correspondence between the Central, Provincial and Branch level organisation, and correspondence with Native Authorities and the District Commissioner, regarding:
- ANC organisation and administrative procedure
- Attempts to ban the ANC
- Political violence
The file also contains financial returns, monthly balance sheets, membership lists, and lists of polling stations and branch officials.
It appears as though some of the material within this file may once have been kept within a different file system; reference ANC2/22 appears on some of the papers.
