MS Mus. 342. Alan Bush Collection. Vol. xvii. ‘Variations, Nocturne and Finale on an English Sea-Song’, for piano and orchestra, ‘op.46’ [published as op.60]; [1962]. Full score, in ink. Dedicated to Sir Thomas Armstrong. This work was originally written for piano solo in 1956, as op.46 (see MS Mus. 353, ff. 32-73), and subsequently revised in the present form. The sea-song is ‘Blow, ye winds’. Published as op.60, in an arrangement for two pianos by David Lyon, Borough Green: Novello, 1973.
