1. ff. 1-21. ‘Pro Pace et Felicitate Generis Humani (Voices from Two Continents)’, rhapsody for ’cello and piano, op.89; [1979]. Dedicated to the British Bulgarian Friendship Society (though not in this manuscript).
i. ff. 1-18. Score, in ink.
ii. ff. 19-21. ’Cello part, in ink, with performance markings in pencil, possibly in the hand of Cathy Giles, who gave the first performance in 1979.
2. ff. 22-38. ‘Voices from Four Continents’, rondo for clarinet, ’cello and piano, op.91; [1980]. The work makes use of the following compositions: ‘Hymn of the Revolution’ by — Dombo (Mozambique, for Africa); ‘Song of Liberation’ by Văn Chung (Vietnam, for Asia); ‘Manifiesto’ by Victor Jara (Chile, for America); and ‘Steppe Cavalry’ by Lev Knipper (U.S.S.R., for Europe).

ii. ff. 32-4. Clarinet part, in ink, with performance markings in pencil.
iii. ff. 35-8. ’Cello part, in ink, with performance markings in pencil.
3. ff. 39-54. Scherzo for double bass and piano, op.93, no.2; [1980]. Written to form a pair with the ‘Meditation on the ballad "Geordie"’, op.62 (MS Mus. 355, ff. 88-97), which was renumbered as op.93, no.1. Score and double bass part, in ink. Published Yorke Edition, 1982.
4. ff. 55-140. Concertino for two violins and piano, op.94; [begun 1980], completed 14 Feb. 1981. Dedicated to Hazel and Maureen Smith. The movements are ‘Introduction and Allegro Energico’, ‘Fughetta’, ‘Autumn Song’ and ‘Cadenza, leading to Dance’.
