1. ff. 1-54. 'Speculum Hiberniae'; 1686. This treatise, a further reply to the 'Queries' and the 'Narrative of the Sale and Settlement of Ireland', has several alternative title-pages and endorsements, 'Maurice o'Ferk-alls Bill' (ff. 1-2), 'The State of the Settlement & titles to Estates in Ireland' (f. 24v), 'Speculum Hiberniae' (ff. 3, 25), and 'Speculum rerum Hybericarum' (f. 53v). There are three versions of the text: a partly autograph draft, much corrected, accompanied by (f. 3v) a list of those to whom it was to be circulated, and a copy of a letter from Petty to Katherine, Lady Ranelagh, with her comments on the treatise (ff. 4-7; B99); two differing versions in the hand of James Waller, the first with autograph corrections.
