SUCCESSION OF THE SOVEREIGNS OF ENGLAND, Princes of Wales, English nobility and sovereigns of Scotland in that order (contents, ff. iv-ivb); compiled c. 1573, the latest date mentioned (ff. 280, 292b, 399b, etc.) in the text. At ff. 577-578, once part of another MS., is an incomplete succession of English earldoms compiled after the succession of Philip Howard to the earldom of Arundel, 1580, and before the death of Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, 1588.
Paper; ff. viii + 588 (there is no f. 61). 16th-cent. foliation throughout to
f. 575, continued with 17th-cent. foliation ff. 576-588. An earlier series of foliation, 5-16, at ff. 577-588. Folio. Late XVI cent. The main text in a good italic hand; ff. 577-588 in a secretary hand. Vellum binding, titled and numbered '47' twice on the spine. Traces of label on front cover.
