The Commons Journal for the period consists only of notes. The 'True Relation', a narrative account, was first printed in 1641 as The Diurnall Occurrences of every dayes proceeding in Parliament . . . , and 48 MS. versions (not including the present MS.) were used in the edition of W. Notestein and F. H. Relf, Commons Debates for 1629, 1921, where the various sources are discussed on pp. xi-lxvii, and listed and classified in the Appendix. See also: Add.
