5. ff. 93-112b. 'The union of bothe Kingdomes'; [1604-1606?]. Beg. 'That which our Eternall Highe Preist'. A tract in favour of union between England and Scotland, written from an English point of view. Negotiations for union took place 1604-1606, see Add. 48163, art. 6.
6. ff. 113-118b. 'Instruttione a Prencipi'; an anonymous treatise on the Jesuit order; early 17th cent. Italian. First printed under the title Instruttione à Prencipi . . . , Poschiavo, 1617. This copy was made by William Goddard (f. 118b), possibly the William Goddard, doctor of physic of Padua, who was incorporated at Oxford, 1634. For other copies, see art. 10 below and Add. 48087, art. 2.
