LETTERS AND PAPERS RELATING TO THE NETHERLANDS: transcripts of letters and papers principally relating to Beale's mission to William, Prince of Orange, 1576, and Leicester's administration of the Netherlands 1586-1588; 1572-1596, n.d. Partly Latin, Dutch and French. Copies, 17th cent. The documents transcribed are from Beale's own papers: many of the originals are now in Add. 14028, Egerton MSS. 1693-1694 and Stowe MS. 163, and most of the items are not among the State Papers. The documents relating to Beale are not in Lettenhove, vii, viii, which print other letters and papers concerning this mission. The documents relating to Leicester's administration of the Netherlands include correspondence of Leicester not in Bruce or Brugmans.
