The position of the label and possible titling visible on the antiphoner leaf inside the spine sugggest that this item may have been used as a cover before. Back cover: a deed in English concerning one Thomas Brampton; c. 1580-1581. Numbered '164' twice on the spine (once on a label), and on the back cover.
