Confirmation by Frank van Borselen, Count van Ostrevant, Governor of Holland and Zeeland, of a charter of John, Duke of Bavaria and Lord of Holland, 9 Aug. 1421, confirming English trading privileges; Hoogstraten, 24 June 1435. Copy, late 16th cent. Dutch, with partial English translation (ff. 3-3b). Duke John's charter is printed from Cotton MS. Tiberius D.VIII, ff. 10-10b in Schanz, ii, pp. 159-161. Van Borselen was the husband of Jacqueline, Countess of Holland. Found in Add. 48015, after art. 10.
2. ff. 5-22. Reports of two cases in Common Pleas; 1572, 1572? Written probably after 1585, see marginal references (ff. 5, 16) to James Dyer's 'Reports', first published under the title Cy ensuont ascuns nouel cases . . . , 1585. Two quires taken from a bound volume: ff. 17-22 are blank. Found in the front of Add. 48029. (a) Cranmer's case (Kirk v.
