British Army-issued War Diary completed as a typewritten daily record of events, operations and information, preceded by contents pages. Additional information includes operational orders, personnel lists, notes, correspondence, diagrams, maps, order of battle, casualty numbers, reports and documents relating to German forces including translations of intercepted German messages and the views of a German prisoner. Also includes documents relating to the conclusion of hostilities, the armistice, liberation ceremonies and official visits to liberated towns attended by Hunter-Weston and an account of a journey taken by Hunter-Weston through France, Belgium and Germany after the armistice.
