A later insertion (f. iv), originally pasted along the inner margin of f. vi, is 'A Briefe Certifficate of her Maties Whole ordinarie Chardge sustayned at deptford strande wthin the month of decembr 1601', signed by Greville: see Add. 33278, f. 7 and Egerton 2723, ff. 95, 97.
ff. viii+116. Contemporary pagination 1-230. Traces of preliminary foliation, ff. 29-32, etc. 347 x 234mm. Gatherings of eight (i2, xiv6, xvi6, xvii2). Copied in hand b. Watermark: a Strassburg lily on a crowned shield with pendent 'WR', Heawood, 1768. Two conjugate leaves at either end of the manuscript (ff. v-vi, vii-viii) bear a device within a circle. Spine: 'A'.
