Partly copies and drafts in the hand of Weckherlin, with some in that of Sir John Coke. The bulk of the material dates from the reign of Charles I up to the outbreak of Civil War, and includes copies of papers relating to the impeachment of Buckingham, 1626, and to the Scots Covenanters, 1639-1640. Also included are a copy of a commission of Elizabeth I to Sir Francis Walsingham, in Latin, 9 Feb. 1571/2, and a letter in German, of Elizabeth, Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Wolffenbüttel, to her sister, Anne of Denmark, circa 1610.
