1. Miscellaneous papers relating to the business of the Secretary of State's office; circa 1695-1698. Including notes by Trumbull about procedures and records.
2. Minutes by Trumbull concerning Post Office examinations; 1696.
3. Diary of Trumbull as Secretary of State; May 1696-Dec. 1697. A rough version in somewhat confused order, on loose sheets and quires. These have been arranged as far as possible in chronological order, though f. 4 (18 Oct. 1696) and. ff. 7-11 (1 May-17 Oct. 1697) are interpolations somewhat out of sequence. Containing brief accounts of political transactions, Cabinet meetings, interviews with the King, etc., particularly in relation to the events leading up to Trumbull's resignation as Secretary of State on 1 Dec. 1697. Followed by further loose sheets, not part of this diary, containing further jottings by Trumbull on the latter subject. Formerly Add. 125 and Add. 90.
4. Warrants, etc., concerning Sir William Trumbull's appointment of George Woodeson as his deputy in the Signet Office; 1687-1702. Latin. Draft and copies. See Add. 72445-72447, 72503 above and 72576, 72577 below for further papers of Trumbull and his father relating to the Clerkship of the Signet.
