2. ff. 5-7. [italics]Autograph[/italics] draft of ‘Nursery Call’; n.d. ‘Nursery Call’ is the final chapter of [italics]Nursery in the Nineties[/italics] (1935), pp. 527-528. ‘Nursery in the Nineties’ was republished in 1960 to coincide with the expected appearance of Eleanor Farjeon’s Memoirs.
3. ff. 8-13. [italics]Copies[/italics] of letters from D H Lawrence sent after Lawrence and Eleanor Farjeon’s walk to Chichester in May 1915 and published in [italics]Edward Thomas: The Last Four Years: Book One of the Memoirs of Eleanor Farjeon[/italics] (1958), pp. 138-140; 14 May 1915-18 May 1915, n.d. With an extract of a letter from Eleanor Farjeon to Edward Nehls withholding permission to quote from the letters in the latter’s biography of D H Lawrence, published as [italics]D H Lawrence: A Composite Biography[/italics], 3 vols (1957-1959).

5. ff. 28-34. Partly [italics]autograph[/italics] cuts to be made to the draft text, some written on the verso of draft pages; [[italics]circa[/italics] 1960].
6. ff. 35-71. Partly [italics]autograph[/italics] draft pages; [[italics]circa[/italics] 1960]. Includes ‘Chestnuts’ (ff. 35-39) detailing the Paul Corder circle, ‘Fenella Lovell’ (ff. 40-44) about Lillian Mortimer, al. ‘Fenella Lovell’, ‘Panic’ (ff. 45-52) about Eleanor’s early timidity, ‘The First World War’ (ff. 53-65) detailing events between 1914 and 1915 and ‘Joan’s Corner: May 1917‘ (ff. 66-71). ‘The First World War’ includes [italics]typewritten[/italics] notes prepared by Clifford Bax (ff. 64-65) on a medium’s appraisal of Eleanor. The principle events from these draft pages were included in the complete draft.
7. ff. 71-209 [italics]Incomplete[/italics] draft with [italics]autograph[/italics] revisions of the first section of Book Two, which ends with a description of George Chester Earle, al. ‘Pod’ and with Eleanor’s decision to go to Italy in Oct. 1920; [[italics]circa[/italics] 1960].
