C. G. Rossetti Notebooks. 29 June 1858-15 Feb. 1859. The text is written on both sides of thirty leaves of ruled white laid paper, and on one side only of a further leaf (f. 1b). No watermark. There is an index on f. 32. The principal revisions and additions to the text of the poems are as follows:― (a) Extensive additions and corrections by Christina to ''Today and Tomorrow''. ff. 1b, 2;―(b) Note by Christina, referring to ''Spring'' (printed as ''L. E. L.''), ''Gabriel fitted the double rhymes as printed, with a brotherly request I would use them''. f. 30;―(c) Comment by D. G. Rossetti, referring to ''Sorrow not as those who have no hope'' (printed as ''From House to Home''), ''This is so good it cannot be omitted, but could not something be done to make it less like Palace of Art''. f. 19;―(d) Correction by D. G. Rossetti. f. 19b;―(e) Erasure, stated by W. M. Rossetti to be by D. G. Rossetti, of two stanzas of ''Yet a little while''. f. 13b;―(f) Notes by W. M. Rossetti made when preparing ''Today and Tomorrow'' and ''Yet a little while'' for printing in New Poems, 1896. ff. 1b, 13b;―(g) Note, signed ''W. M. R.'', ''Notebook 10 (succeeding this one & containing Goblin Market, Passing away etc.) was given by me to Helen''. This presumably refers to the notebook now in the possession of Mrs Imogene Rossetti Dennis. The note has been almost entirely rubbed out. f. 32. Four pages are missing, viz.:― 29-32 (between ff. 15 and 16), containing part of ''Only believe'' and ''The Love of Christ Which passeth knowledge'', and the whole of a poem apparently lost, entitled ''In the Olden Days''.

In the original covers, rebacked, and numbered ''9'' (and in pencil ''12'') on f. 1.
