Chastelard. Autograph early draft of the end of Act I, scene iii, written on one side only (f. 204b) of a folio leaf of blue laid paper. Watermark 'E. A. Gordon / 1859'. On the recto of the leaf is a song, apparently intended for Chastelard, but discarded, beg. 'Though ye be never so fair a may', and entitled by Swinburne 'Song'. The song is printed in A. C. Swinburne, Posthumous Poems, 1917, p. 102. Accompanying the MS. is a letter from Swinburne to T. J. Wise, thanking him for the gift of a copy of a Shelley reprint; 24 March 1886.Includes envelope at f. 206.
