2 larger fragments forming the upper and lower parts of the leaf of a papyrus codex, and 11 unplaced scraps. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, and across them on the other side; the side with the text against the fibres precedes the other. Each page originally contained one column of 24-25 lines, with each line having an average of 27 letters. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Materials: Papyrus.
Dimensions: 112 x 100 mm (the larger fragments measuring 42 x 45 mm and 46 x 93 mm); housed in a glass case measuring 200 x 270 mm.
Script: Regular but not calligraphic uncial hand, thick and mostly bilinear; rough breathing, apostrophe and diaeresis occur; high stop frequent; nomina sacra abbreviated.

Provenance: Egypt. Bought with a lot comprising Egerton Papyri 2-31 from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948) by the British Museum on 28 July 1934, using the Bridgewater fund (£12,000 bequeathed in 1829 by Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater (b. 1756, d. 1829)).
