Collection of Greek papyri purchased from the Bridgewater and Farnborough Funds. c 100-c 800. 37 papyri

In 1934 it was decided to form a category of Egerton Papyri, to include Greek papyri purchased from the Bridgewater and Farnborough Funds. Since the papyrus containing the Mimiambi of Herodas (Pap. 135) had been purchased from the Bridgewater Fund, it was re-numbered as Egerton Papyrus i. Subsequently it was noticed that another papyrus (Pap. 732) had been purchased from the Farnborough Fund, and this was re-numbered Egerton Papyrus 32.
