LEEDS PAPERS. Vol. LIV (ff. iii+127). 'The Epitome of the Civill Warrs of England', by Thomas Hobbes, first printed in 1679. Contemporary copy, in three hands. Included are marginal notes and (ff. 126-127b) an index of subjects. Another copy is in Stowe MS. 77, ff. l-64. Both texts resemble the 1679 editions, The History of the Civil Wars of England ..., by T.H., and Behemoth, or an Epitome of the Civil Wars of England, but show some variations from the edition by F. Tönnies, Behemoth, or the Long Parliament, 1889.
