LEEDS PAPERS. Vol. CXIII (ff. 401). Correspondence and papers of Lord Holdernesse relating to the North Riding, of which he was Lord Lieutenant (1740-1777), and other parts of Yorkshire; 1740-1761. Among the subjects touched on are his interest in the borough of Richmond and other parliamentary business, the disturbances in the county in 1757, and the raising, embodiment and movements of the North Riding Militia (1758-1761). Among the writers are Sir Conyers D'Arcy, Col. Thomas Duncombe, Henry Ingram, 7th Viscount Irwin, the Rev.
