Among the following letters, those dated 1833 relate to the death on 15 September 1833 of Henry Hallam’s son, Arthur Henry Hallam. Those dated 1834 relate to the publication by Henry Hallam (as editor) of his ‘Remains in Verse and Prose of Arthur Henry Hallam’, published 1834.
