Includes correspondence on the anthologies edited by Michael Holroyd, The Shorter Strachey (with Paul Levy), Lytton Strachey by Himself, a proposed edition (with Robert Skidelsky, Baron Skidelsky) of Strachey’s correspondence with John Maynard Keynes, Baron Keynes, of which a working copy of the text is above, and prefaces contributed by him to new editions of Ermintrude and Esmeralda, Eminent Victorians, Elizabeth and Essex and Queen Victoria, and proposals by others to publish Strachey’s play ‘A Son of Heaven’ and his essay on Madame du Deffand, with typewritten (or photocopied typewritten) texts of the prefaces to Eminent Victorians, Elizabeth and Essex and Queen Victoria, and an autograph by Michael Holroyd of the text of the article ‘Madame du Deffand’.
