2. ff. 73-172. Correspondence, etc., consisting chiefly of memoranda from Harvey to Lord Halifax, while Harvey was his Principal Private Secretary; 1938-1939. Many items are annotated or initialled by Halifax. Included are notes on the Czechoslovak Crisis, 1938 (ff. 74-78), and the text of Lord Halifax's speech to the House of Lords,
1 Sept. 1939 (ff. 154-166), followed by his notes for that of 3 Sept. 1939 (ff. 167-171).
3. ff. 173-190. Reports by Harvey on private conversations with French politicians, journalists and others, including visitors to Paris, prepared for Sir Ronald Hugh Campbell, Ambassador to France, while Harvey was Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to France; 1940. The report of 5 April is initialled by Campbell (ff. 186-187).
