2. ff. 4-7. 'A Plain Setting for the Holy Eucharist': Missa Sancti Stephani (in the Dorian mode), for four-part unaccompanied chorus (SATB); 1940. Consists of a pencil sketch in close score (incomplete), containing Kyrie, Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus Dei, and a fair copy in ink containing Kyrie eleison, Lord have mercy, responses to the Commandments, Sanctus and Benedictus. Dedicated 'to Father Kenneth Thompson', the work was completed and edited by Geoffrey Bush and published London: Braydeston Press, 1991, as Missa brevis. 310 x 245mm. (sketch) and 354 x 263mm.
