SHERBORN AUTOGRAPHS. Vol. XI (ff. 244). Miscellaneous, viz.:-
(1) Papers, 1866-1871, of Adèle Hugo (d. 1915), daughter of Victor Hugo, found by John Locke, banker, of Barbados, in his bank, and presented by his son, W. J. Locke, the novelist, to C. D. Pinson (three letters, 12 Aug. 1869-30 May 1871), with whom she had eloped and from whom she finally separated. ff. 1-22; -(2) Letters of scientists to Harry Govier Seeley, F.R.S., geologist; circ. 1860-1902. ff. 23-78;-(3) Letters of scientists to Edwin Tully Newton, F.R.S., geologist; 1866-1900, n.d. ff. 79-244.
