'Art and the Beauty of the Earth' delivered at the prizegiving of the schools of Science and Art of the Wedgwood Institute at Burslem Town Hall, 13 Oct. 1881 The address is listed by Briggs, op. cit. p. 10, as 'England and the Arts'. A typewritten copy of this MS., headed 'The Art of Pottery', is in 45322, ff. 115-139. A different version is printed in C.W., xxii, pp. 155-174, a fragment of the MS. of which is in 45332, ff. 106-113. Belonged to Philip Webb and later Sir Emery Walker (see Brit. Mus. Quart., xiv, 1939-1940, p. 9). The binding is possibly by Katharine Adams.
