9 " Expediente " or collection of letters and documents relating to the Guayana missions, etc., 1690-1790; sent with a memorial (f. 131) of Fray Pedro de Fuenterravia, Proctor General of the Capuchin Missions of the Indians, to the king, complaining of the Governor of Caracas and others, who by their demands for cattle were ruining the missionaries and impoverishing their herds, and were sending the natives to forced work at Upata, etc. ; Madrid, Capuchinos de la Paciencia, 27 Aug. 1791. Included (f. 303 b) is a journal of the expedition of Santiago Bonaldes to Aquigua on the R. Cuyuni in 1758. ff. 181-310.

Fray Thomas de Olot, Capuchin missionairy, to Antonio Porlier [Secretary of State ?], thanking the king for his appointment to the mission of Panapana, in Cumana, and asking for the same salary as his predecessor; Panapana, 1 Sept. 1791. Followed by other letters, etc., down to 15 Sept. 1792, with a report of the Fiscal remitting the question of the salary to Carcacas. ff. 311-315.
11. Juan Guillelmi, Captain General of Caracas, to the Marquis of Baxamar, concerning the Guarauno Indians near the colonies of Esquivo and Surinam, and their intercourse with the Dutch ; Caracas, 15 Oct. 1791. f. :316.
