3. "The Revocation of the Edict of Nanters, illustrated from State Papers in the Archives of Venice," read 9 Mar. 1887 (Proc., ii, pp. xxi, xxiv, 117-153 ; also privately printed, 1888). "The Duc de Rohan's Relations with the Republic of Venice, 1630-1637," read 11 Jan. 1893 (Proc., iv, pp. xxviii, 218-228, together with notes and summaries of letters, most of which are incorporated in the appendix (ib., pp. 228-274). Layard offered the copies of letters to the Society (ib., p. 218), but they are not in the Society's Library and the copies referred to are probably those contained in this volume.
