LAYARD PAPERS. Vol. CXXXVII (ff. 71). Book containing arms of Florentine families in colour, alphabetically arranged (Abadinghi-Zati), inscribed (f. 1) 'Henry A. Layard, July 1829, Florence.' Ff. 69-71 are in Layard's later hand and contain only the names of families (in pencil) and not the arms. Holograph. Apparently the volume referred to in Autobiogr. etc., 1903, i, p.34, written by Layard (aetat. 12) before his return to England in 1829 (cf. 39071). Duodecimo.
