Material: Parchment.
Foliation: ff iii + 206. f i is the inside upper board. ff ii-iii is a line-engraving of the Monastery of Simonopetra, dated 1836, which was bound with the volume in the 19th century (see further Papastratos 1990, II, pp. 467-68 (no. 498). A later lithograph of this engraving is now in the British Museum, Department of Prints & Drawings, with the register number 1912,1016.19. In addition, one unfoliated modern paper flyleaf at the beginning (before f ii) and one at the end.
Dimensions: 340 x 200 mm
Ruling: 250 x 80 mm, written in two columns, 31 lines per column.
Binding: 19th century binding of red velvet.
Decoration: Decorated headpiece in red at the beginning of Acts. Initials, subscriptions, titloi, and lection notes in red.

Add MSS 39583-39671, along with Oriental MSS 8729-8855, were bequeathed to the British Museum by Darea Curzon, Baroness Zouche (d. 1917), having been part of the collection formed at Parham, Co. Sussex, by the Hon. Robert Curzon, afterwards 14th Baron Zouche, as the result of his travels in the Levant, etc., in 1833 and later. A copy of Robert Curzon's Catalogue of Materials for Writing, ... Rolls and other Manuscripts and Oriental Manuscript Books (1849), with manuscript additions, accompanied the gift, and is now Add MS 64098.
