A line-engraving of the Monastery of Simonopetra, above which are the Monastery's patron saints, Simon the Myrrh-Bearer (on the left), the Nativity Scene (at the centre), and St Mary Magdalene (on the right). Inscription (dated 1836) at the bottom: Αὕτη ἡ Ἱερὰ Μονὴ ὑπάρχει τοῦ Σίμωνος Πέτ<ρ>ας ὀνομαζομένη. τιμομένη ἐπ’όνόματι τῶν τοῦ Χριστοῦ γενεθλίων./ Κειμένη ἐν τω Ἁγίῳ Ὄρει τοῦ Ἄθω. Ἐχαράχθη δὲ δαπάνῃ καὶ προτροπῇ τοῦ Πανοσιωτάτου Ἁγίου Καθηγουμένου τῆς αὐτῆς Μονῆς. Κυρίου/ Ἀμβροσίου ἐν τῇ σκήτῃ τῶν Καρεῶν ἐν ἔτει ᾳωλς΄.
