In f. 12 b, is a compotus of Sir Thomas Lucy of Charlecote, co. Warw. (cf. f. 33), for Allescote [Alscot in Preston-on-Stour, co. Glouc.] and other manors, 1519-1520. He married the widow of George Catesby, ancestor of Robert Catesby, the conspirator, from whose papers the extract was made, temp. Charles I. Sir Thomas Overbury, to whom some of the papers in the latter part of the volume relate, was the son of Sir Giles and nephew of the better-known Sir Thomas. His widow Hester afterwards became the wife of Thomas Mariett, his executor.
