Nos. 1-5 are in the hand of his amanuensis, J. Radnitzky; the others are in a different hand, and consist of Add MS symphonies written by the composer at the request of George Thomson, of Edinburgh, who published most of the present collection (nos. 6 and 7 in 1803).
