VERNON PAPERS. Vol. XXXIV (ff. 96). Accompts (disbursements only) of Edward Vernon, including many autograph or signed receipts by servants and tradesmen; 1 Jan. 1722-30 Sept. 1732. Reversing the volume, ff. 96 b-40 b are occupied with personal and political memoranda, and in particular with correspondence, legal opinions, etc., relative to the disputed election of the Mayor of Penryn in 1723-1724 and other affairs of that borough, for which Vernon was returned M.P. in 1722.
