(1) Elegiac verses comprising an 'Epicedium' and 'Prosopopoeia' in memory of Mary Ley, first wife of James Ley, 1st Earl of Marlborough, by P. Kynninmond; circ. 1612-1615. Latin and Greek. f. 1.
(2) Letter of Henry Ley, 2nd Earl of Marlborough, to his brother William (4th Earl, 1665); 14 Aug. 1633. Theological notes were subsequently added by John Harington, M.P. ff. 3, 3b.
(3) Poem on marriage, beg. 'When the eternal had created man', possibly composed by James Ley, 3rd Earl of Marlborough, whose name appears at the head of the leaf in the hand of John Harington of Corston; n.d. f. 2.
(4) Letter of Dioness Harington, née Ley, wife of John Harington, M.P., to her granddaughter Elizabeth Harington; 18 Sept. 1669. f. 4.
