HARINGTON PAPERS. Vol. XIV (ff. ii +12). Register of the Quaker meeting at Podimore Milton, co. Som.; 1656-1696. Partly (?) contemporary copy, imperfect. The manuscript comprises a register of births, 1656-1677; of marriages, 1657-1669 and, with names of witnesses, 1670-1675, 1696; and deaths, 1659-1681, 1684. The register of deaths includes details of persecution suffered at the hands of the authorities. Vellum. Small quarto. Circ. 1656-1696. The name of Samuel Salter appears, dated 1755-1757, on f. iib. Ten only of the original forty leaves remain, of which two (ff. i, ii) are the outer covers and a further four (ff. 5, 10-12) are badly mutilated.
