The poem beginning 'Longtems du peuple Pitt favori adoré' (f. 84) was printed in Memorials, i, p. 13, and his Italian translation of Matthew Gregory Lewis's poem 'Pleasure and Desire' (ff. 89, 95b) was published, together with one of his original Italian compositions (ff. 94, 94b), in M. G. Lewis, Poems (1812), pp. 15-18. Other copies of the poems beg. 'Thou, who art wont on Eryx to be seen' (f. 82b) and 'Of Gallia's Pride the direfull spring' (f. 83), and of most of the Italian poems, are in the Holland House papers, Add. MSS. 51512 A, ff. 6b-7, 15b; 51512 B, ff. 15b-16; 51514, ff. 24-41. Ff. 86-104 are in the hand of Buonaiuti. ff. 82-131b.
