Copied from the printed work by Adam Meredith before 1679 (see note in the hand of Lord Anglesey, f. 4, and Add. MS. 4819, f. 340). For the remainder of this transcript see Add. (3) 'The History of the late Warre in Ireland', 1641-1642, by Richard Bellings, being the first part of a transcript of this work begun in ?1666 (f. 35) and bearing marginal notes by Lord Anglesey. The whole work was printed by J. T. Gilbert in his History of the Irish Confederation, 1882-1891, vols. i, iii-vii, from this manuscript and from another at Trinity College, Dublin, this section appearing in vol. i of that work, pp. 1-150.
