(1) Part of a transcript of Ormonds Curtain Drawn: In a short Discourse concerning Ireland ... by Sir John Temple, printed 1646. Copied from the printed work by Adam Meredith before 1679 (see note in the hand of Lord Anglesey, f. 4, and Add. MS. 4819, f. 340). For the remainder of this transcript see Add. MS. 4819, ff. 333-344. ff. 4- 5b.
(2) Account of Irish affairs, based on the declaration of the Marquess of Ormonde at Kilcolgan; 2 Dec. 1650. In two hands (cf. Add. MS. 4819, ff. 345-398). ff. 6-34b.
(3) 'The History of the late Warre in Ireland', 1641-1642, by Richard Bellings, being the first part of a transcript of this work begun in ?1666 (f. 35) and bearing marginal notes by Lord Anglesey. The whole work was printed by J. T. Gilbert in his History of the Irish Confederation, 1882-1891, vols. i, iii-vii, from this manuscript and from another at Trinity College, Dublin, this section appearing in vol. i of that work, pp. 1-150. For another section of the transcript see Add. MS. 4819, ff. 399-438. ff. 35-89.
(4) Transcripts of writings relating chiefly to Irish affairs from early times down to 1614, made apparently between 1660 and 1668 (ff. 90, 121, 156), mainly from the Carew MSS. now in Lambeth Palace Library; see Calendar of State Papers: Calendar of the Carew MSS. Preceded by a table of contents and an alphabetical index. ff. 90-218b.
