Collections relating mainly to Ireland, presented by the Rev. Jeremiah Milles, Dean of Exeter, 9 May 1766. Forty-nine volumes, most of which bear the Dean's armorial bookplate. Paper, unless the contrary is stated. Various sizes. The majority of the volumes were formerly in the library of James Brydges, 1st Duke of Chandos, and were acquired by Milles at the sale of the Chandos Library, March 1747 (sale catalogue by Cock). They include (4783-4801) a number of volumes formerly in the collection of Sir James Ware (d. 1666).
