MILLES COLLECTION. Vol. XIII (ff. i + 168). Miscellaneous papers relating mainly to Ireland; 16th-17th centt. Viz:-
(1) Royal commission for the regulation of fees and duties in Ireland, 28 Feb. 1635, with the oath administered to the Clerk of the Commission, 1635; followed by lists of fees payable to:-(a) The Court of King's Bench. ff. 4b-l 3;-(b) The Court of Common Pleas. ff. 13b- 29;-(c) The Court of Exchequer. ff. 29-49b;-(d) The judges, etc., on circuit. ff. 50-55;-(e) The Consistory Court of Dublin. ff. 55-61b. Copies made in the 17th cent. from a transcript extracted from the Book of Fees by Stephen Cuppage of Coleraine, circ. 1640, and attested in the original by him before Miles Corbett, Chief Baron of the Exchequer in Ireland, 30 Jan. 165 5/6 (f. 4). ff. 2-61b.
(2) Letters patent granting the office of sergeant of trumpeters, drummers and fifes to Gervaise Price, 24 Jan. 1662, with a list of fees pertaining to that office. Copy. Late 17th cent. ff. 62-63b.
(3) Papers relating mainly to the revenues and garrisons of Ireland, tempp. Henry VIII - Elizabeth, annotated by William Cecil, Lord Burghley. There is an incomplete list of contents at f. 64; some of the items listed are missing. The principal items are:- (a) A rough list of Lords
