MILLES COLLECTION. Vol. XXVII (ff. i + 87). 'The Particular Discription of the Countrie and State of Ireland with the discourse of ye Conquest and reformation of the same and the nowe plantacion No. 7 by the worshipfull company of Ironmungers London and their assotiates, wherein the Irishe prophesies are explaned for the tyme of the nowe Kinges Maiestie'; circa 1618. On f. 1, in a different hand, is the title 'The decay, the present pollicie and reformation of Ulster No. 7 ... 1618', with notes and the name 'R. Hunter'. After a brief history of Ireland and an account of the prophecies referred to above, the MS. is chiefly concerned with the allotment of certain lands in Ulster to the Ironmongers Company and the manner of carrying out the work of plantation, 1609-1617.
