Grant by Isabel [de Beaumont, d. a. 1188], countess of Northampton, for her parents’ souls and those of her brother Robert [de Beaumont, d. 1190], earl of Leicester, W. de Britollia, and her ancestors and successors, to Nuneaton Priory [Leicestershire], of a bovate of land in Groby [Leicestershire], which was held by Nicholas son of Sven, and which was given to her by Earl Robert.
Endorsed: in a late 12th-century hand, 'D[e] t[er]ra de Grobi'; in a 15th-century hand, 'an [illegible] charter of land / in Grubye given to / the p[ri]oress'.
Affixed with a fragmentary and indistinct seal, lozenge, cream, with a full-length image of a woman in robes, her right hand on her stomach, enclosed within a red silk seal bag.
