- A note on the death of Theophanes Xenakios, Metropolites of Philadelphia on 19 February 1632 and the election of Nikodemos Metaxas, Archbishop of Cephallonia, as his successor on 21 April 1632 (Manousakas, p. 26, and É. Legrand, Bibliographie Hellénique, ou Description raisonnée des ouvrages publiés par des grecs au dix-septième siècle, 5 vols (Paris, 1894-1903), III, p. 173 n. 2). The note on Balasios, which is said to be extracted from a work by Dositheos Notaras, Patriarch of Jerusalem (1669-1707), is based on a text by the Catholic missionary Aegidius of Cesaró, published in Venice in 1678 and in Manousakas, pp. 5-6. The five works of Balasios, attributed here to 'Palladios Iatros from the Peloponnese' (f 4) are:
