The contents include:- (a) Copies of verses written by C. J. Fox at Eton, which also appear in Add MS 51512 A, ff. 9b-10, 18b-19; 1762 etc. ff. 1-6. (b) Copies of verses in Italian, most of which also appear in Add MS 47577, ff. 89-104. ff. 24-41. Included are (i) two epitaphs on dogs (cf. art.(c) below). ff. 24-26;- (ii) versions of the poem 'Come, O Dei! il dolce Amore', by C. J. Fox, printed in M. G. Lewis, Poems (1812), pp. 17-18. ff. 28, 29;- (iii) 'Canzonetta' and 'Arietta' by C. J. Fox, other copies of which appear in Add MS 51513, ff. 4, 5. ff. 30, 31;- (iv) lines on 'Pleasure and Desire', by C. J. Fox, the original MS. of which is at Art. (d) below. ff. 31, 32. (c) 'Epitaffio', in Italian, on two dogs, in the hand of Serafino Buonaiuti, being a version of the first epitaph in Art. (b)(i) above. f. 44. (d) Italian translation by C. J. Fox of 'Pleasure and Desire' by Matthew Gregory Lewis, published in the latter's Poems (1812), pp. 15-16. Autograph, with an endorsement (f. 47b) by Lewis. Another copy is at Art.
