Seven articles, written in English and Arabic, laying out the terms and conditions of the agreement between the British Government and the state of Muskat [Muscat] regarding the laying of 'one or more telegraph lines within the territories appertaining to the state of Muskat'.
The agreement was signed 17 November 1864 by His Highness Syed Thurveynee bin Saeed [Sayyid Thuwaini bin Sa'id] Sultan of Muscat in the presence of Lieutenant-Colonel Lewis Pelly, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf and Lieutenant-Colonel Herbert Disbrowe, Political Agent at Muscat.
