- This file contains 120 digitised copies of glass plate negatives held by the GASO. The dates of the collection are unknown, although the images probably date from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Similarly, the names of photographers were not recorded.
The images depict the daily lives of indigenous Siberians (possibly Khanty and Mansi) and Russian peasants and bourgeoisie. The following subjects are featured in the collection: village scenes, construction and industry, freight and shipping, distilling alcohol, children at play, drinking tea, picnics, packing and preparing fish, medicine, fishing with nets and weirs, baking bread, spinning wool, ceremonies, Chums (teepees), national dress, landscapes, reindeer, shamen, Mansi, peasants, portraits.
