Royal Literary Fund: Auditors’ Reports

Contains the Auditors’ Reports of the Royal Literary Fund for the years between 1820 and 1904. These consist principally of double-entry records detailing the Fund’s incomings (including donations, subscriptions, profits from stocks and monies raised at the anniversary dinners) and outgoings (including grants, salaries, dinner expenses and costs for printing). Some aspects of these reports are abstracted in the Annual Reports (Loan 96 RLF 3). Some files also contain small numbers of related letters on the Fund’s financial matters and on the preparation of the reports.
The reports and correspondence for each year are in individual files; these are grouped into seven folders as follows:
